You will send me your song (as multi-tracks, stems or audio files) and I will deliver a final stereo mix and master which you can use as the final release for your music.

You can also provide 1-2 reference tracks of pro songs similar to the final result you want to achieve. This will help to guide the type and style of final result that you are looking for.

The main styles that I mix are Pop, Electronic Music, Dance, R&B, Hip-Hop, Experimental, Ambient, Folk, Blues and Spoken Word.

If you want someone who will mix and master your track with professionalism, care, attention to detail and excellent sonic results. Look no further.

My approach is to be as conscientious as possible, letting your music be the focus. Mixing techniques and processes are used to highlight the ideas, narratives and concepts in your music and present them to a sonically high standard.

Balancing creativity and technicality is an important part of my process and a rare combination of skills. A blend of both has stood the test of time. Sometimes you need to throw caution to the wind, other times you need careful millisecond-accurate processing. Each track is an individual piece of work which contributes to the final project and should be treated as such.

Mix translation onto different systems is another key aspect of my workflow, to check that your idea translates on as wide a range of sound playback devices as possible.

A final area of concern for my work is creating dynamic music that keeps life and groove in the music.

When you purchase this service, there will be a form to complete. This will ask for some details, links to the audio files required, and possible references. There will also be a space to communicate your ideas for the song(s). If you are not sure, let me know and I will be happy to help to get the deliverables I need so you can get a great final result.

Each mix can be revised twice; after 2 revisions, more revisions can be purchased, if required, for a small fee.

This is for 1-to-1 online Music Production Tuition.

It will be an online session where my screen and audio will be shared with you, and the session will mainly focus on demonstrating music production, skills, techniques and ideas using Ableton Live (Logic Pro and Pro-Tools can also be requested). However, it doesn’t matter what DAW you use. The session(s) will focus on the ideas and principles behind the techniques as well as DAW specific ideas. However, DAW specific sessions can be arranged.

If needed, I can record the call as a video, so you get a copy to watch back after the session.

I am a university lecturer during the day, so evenings and weekends are times when I can be free (also happy to do super early morning sessions too). My time zone is GMT/UTC. However, we can make it fit around your schedule as long as I’m also free.

In terms of what I offer, I make each lesson focused on one topic, or we can do a deep dive into a topic and split it over multiple lessons if required. For example, if you pick 10+ hours, I can design a full program to suit your needs, and we could explore many factors of sound design or mixing. My background is both a Music Artist and a Teacher. I have been teaching since 2011 and have a PGCE qualification in education. Coaching is for music producers and artists who are looking for someone to help them work towards a specific goal.

This may look slightly different for each person, but the role of a coach generally consists of:

• Providing you with a framework for a large-scale project, album or EP.

• Providing you with accountability in a way that acknowledges both the creative process and working to deadlines.

• Providing you with detailed, timely feedback that focuses on areas for improvement and ways to achieve this.

• Review your current working practice and explore ways to enhance/disrupt/explore/develop/re-think/adapt

• Have conversations around mindset in music and approaching a balanced practice.

• Suggesting areas for further study and reading

The reasons that people can be interested in coaching can be very different, but most people are looking for improvements in their creative practice. This can be in a range of different areas, such as:

• Finishing more music and finding a process to maintain output consistency.

• Streamline the creative process to make it more time-efficient.

• Getting unstuck from writer’s block and breaking out of the ‘loop stage’ of music production.

• Developing a specific area of their skills through a creative project, for example, synthesis or sampling.

• They are frustrated with learning from YouTube and want to be able to talk to a real person about music production topics.

• Finding and developing a more distinctive sound.

In more detail, coaching is a professional partnership where I provide accountability for you. The main aim is to support you in achieving music production goals by facilitating the process, providing a sounding board for ideas and challenging your views.

You may ask yourself, “Why don’t I just do it on my own?”. You can; nothing is stopping you from making music or writing that album. Ask yourself these questions: ‘Is my current process working?’ and ‘Am I releasing music?’ If the answer is yes for both. Well done, keep at it! If the answer is no, then maybe it is time to try something new. It can save a lot of time having someone who has years of experience, who can facilitate, question and reiterate ideas back to you as a sounding board. Whilst providing accountability and, in most cases, structure and deadlines for a goal.

You might be thinking, “What makes you think that you have all the answers?” - I don’t have all the answers. My main role as a coach is not to teach you specific things (which I can if needed, of course), but instead, to help you find your own answers.

You might be thinking, “A coach is like a teacher, mentor or therapist?” The answer to this is no, I am not a qualified psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist or counsellor; these things tend to be about healing the past. Also, with a mentor or teacher, the direction of information is from the teacher to the student; this is not the case with coaching. Instead, the focus in coaching is on your creative practice and development. Coaching is about you, your goals and moving forward towards them.

So if you are thinking “Do I need coaching? Is coaching right for me?”. This is really difficult to know for sure. Some people want clear, direct answers to their questions, which coaching doesn’t always give you. Some people don’t respond well to coaching because they need something else. But if you are open to discussion, want to develop your music and creative reflection, then you might consider coaching.

The results are not guaranteed because it all depends on you and your mindset. However, if you want accountability to finish an EP or Album, advice along the way and a creative ally that can help you with your goals, then coaching might be for you.

The coaching sessions will normally be via a video call, such as Zoom. The time of these can be flexible, but it will normally be 1-2 times per week and also emails to check in, as we will be sharing ideas regularly.

The structure of the coaching will be different for each person, but mainly for people looking to complete a project, it will follow this approach: 1) goal setting, 2) preparation, 3) ideas stage, 4) exploration, 5) development, 6) finishing.

When needed, I will discuss with you the techniques I have used to finish a substantial amount of music over my career and how I approach the different stages of the music-making process to achieve my goals. Then, more importantly, we can modify and explore these techniques to suit your workflow.

So if you are always working on loops, starting ideas, stuck doing the same things, struggling with music production, coaching could be for you.

As a final note, this is a serious investment of your money and time, and the results can’t be guaranteed because they depend on your work and approach. It is best to ensure that you have the time, willingness, and attitude to make positive strides in your music.

This is to purchase a download of my track ‘90s Dial Up Internet’ as a stereo wav audio file.

I wanted to write something that was a homage to all of the sounds of AOL instant messenger (AIM) that (in the late 90s/early 00s) was the way that a lot of people in the drum n bass scene would share dubs with each other. I only caught the end that era myself, but I remember the thrill of getting a top DJ's aim address and logging on to see if their inbox was set to auto accept to be able to send them tunes.

Dial up internet, modem screeching with the digital handshake, being told you can't be on the internet too long because someone in the house needed to make a phone call, Napster, Myspace, Miniclip Games, taking 10 minutes to download a photo and The Matrix are some of my most fond memories of the early internet culture.

I was just thinking about all that stuff and wanted to make a tune that incorporates some of those sounds and memories.

I created some code in Python to print me an 'inspiration brief' PDF for helping me write music. This was for a YouTube video on my channel. The title and image for the art were randomly picked from lists I created and this one really inspired me to get the song finished. The video should be published on my YouTube on Sun 2nd August 2026 at 7.30pm UK time.

I was super happy with the code, the video and the tune so I hope you like it too.

This is to purchase a download of my track ‘Hero Call’ as a stereo wav audio file.

I made this track for a video on my Youtube about exploring experimental DnB with a particular focus on using side chain in unconventional ways. So in this track there is a main bleep synth which is inspired by a show I saw at a 180 The Strand exhibit (Ryoji Ikeda), everything in the song is side-chained to this bleep, there is also a bass which ducks everything when it comes in. There are a few bass elements all ducking each other out of the way and the traditional side chain kick stuff too. It was just an experiment that I ended up really liking and finishing as a track. I hope you enjoy it too.
