I wanted to do a series on YouTube where I made a track from start to finish to show some of the process. This is the track that came out of those ideas. The name d4 refers to a chess opening where white moves the Queen's pawn first, it is known for being solid and look for long term thinking rather than quick tactics. I liked that kind of ethos in terms of music and this is what inspired the track title d4.
There are some small moments in this track that are a nod to Digital and Spirit - Phantom Force, I hope people will see that this song only has respect and admiration towards the legendary producers, but this track is still me doing my own thing, bringing in noise and glitch influences to the forefront with some modern style basses too.
